After the school ball season came to an end on the 21st of May, the baseball program begins its summer games starting Monday, June 7th at Madras.
The Panthers Season Comes to an End
In their first-round game with 11th ranked Lincoln, the Redmond varsity baseball team came up short in a defensive battle, giving up a go-ahead/winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning in Tigard, on May 21st.
Panthers Clinch Fourth
Coach Horner and his players split with West Salem in their final double-header on the 17th of May to put them into the 2010 6A state playoffs after just missing the cut only one year ago.
Panthers Move into Third
In the final match-up of a three-game series, the Varsity Baseball team defeated South Salem 4-1 on the road.
Panthers Take the 4th Spot
After the first part of league play, the Varsity Baseball team heads into its’ second-half of the season in the middle of a first place race; as the top five teams are within a game and a half out of the top overall spot in the Central Valley Conference.
Panthers Split Home Double-Header with the Vikings
After dropping the first of two games in a 9-14 slugfest from the plate, the Redmond Varsity Baseball Team rallied back to take the second 3-2 in a vital defensive effort on Wednesday, April 7th.
Panthers Take One of Two in Opener
After a few count-less errors in the first of two games, the varsity baseball team started strong in the second to take the game 10-2 in six innings at Crook County.
Panther Nation’s Tom Yahraes Award
This new award should now mean something to us all here in the Sports Marketing class and the rest of the school, as Assistant Principal Tom Yahraes was the key inspiration that led to the creation for this special and hopefully traditional honor each month in the future here at RHS.
A Spring Preview
The Varsity Baseball team glances upon their eight returning players and likely seven seniors to lead the Panthers to a successful 2010 season, marking it as their last in the Central Valley Conference.
