Despite Connor’s young age, he is the short stop on our varsity baseball team. Baseball is his favorite sport, and he hopes that he is lucky enough to play in college, not just any college though; he wants to play somewhere warm like Southern California. Baseball was the first sport he started playing and some of his favorite memories originated on the field. When asked what his most embarrassing moment was, he told a story about tripping on the bases when he was thirteen and playing for his traveling baseball team. He was only five when he got to play on his first little league team and still remembers his first home run.
Connor is an interesting boy on and off the field; he’s sixteen and drives a red Chevy truck. Connor’s middle name is Joseph but has never been given the nickname of CJ, despite his attempts to make it happen. He plays basketball and football as well, all while managing to maintain a 3.2 G.P.A. and is loved by teachers. Three sport athletes have to manage time wisely, Connor clearly does it effectively. Baseball doesn’t originate from him in his family; his dad knows everything about the sport and his little sister has played softball for years.
His favorite quote is, “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” Unwilling to give reason why it’s his favorite, or even explain what it means, Connor just laughed when he shared it. Much like when he had to tell his favorite food (fried rice); he couldn’t resist the urge to laugh. Connor just enjoys having fun and laughing with his friends.
